Confident Presentations
When you think about presenting, do you start to sweat and feel sick? Have you made excuses and missed out on promotions so that you don't have to stand up in front of people? If so, you are not alone. For many of my clients it has been a guilty secret for years.
Most of us get anxious at the thought of making a presentation to a large group of people but some even feel uncomfortable introducing themselves on one of those training courses where you sit round and wait your turn! With my hypnotic approach, normally 1 to 3 sessions is enough to enable you to face it and do a good job.
I recently had a client who came to see me for only one session the evening before his big presentation. No pressure there then! Together we looked at his thinking style using a technique called the ABC of Psychological Disturbance and discussed what needed to be changed. Then under hypnosis I reinforced the changes and gave him an experience of delivering the presentation he wanted to give with all the feelings he wanted on the day. A couple of days later I received an email from him saying it had been the best presentation he had ever given and "the results were immediate".
Hypnotherapy will help you gain confidence but of course, giving presentations is a skill. The more you practice the better you get. Hypnotherapy means you can practice in your imagination before tackling the real event and your subconscious doesn't know the difference between a real event and a vividly imagined one! As your subconscius chooses your emotional state you can use this to your advantage. Under hypnosis, your subconscious will think you have already given a successful presentation and then not be phased by the real one. As part of the service, I will make you a personal recording to reinforce what we have worked on, tailored to your specific needs.
I also have a secret weapon. What about the content of the presentation itself? What about your personal style of delivery? I happen to be married to Jeremy, a Training Consultant, who travels all over the world teaching executives the practical skills to develop their own personal styles and optimum ways to present content. He can offer you a personal session also at my consulting rooms in Kingston and video you so you can see the results for yourself.
